Daytona, FL – The opening round of this year’s Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge at Daytona saw Fall-Line Motorsports captures three of the top five positions in dominating fashion. Fall-Line won two of three podium positions with Charles Putnam and Charles Espenlaub in the No. 48 finishing second and team owner Mark Boden and Bryan Sellers in the No. 46 finished third. The No. 45 Fall-Line machine with Al Carter and Hugh Plumb finished just behind in the fourth position.


After qualifying 9th, 11th and 12th the Fall-Line cars quickly moved to the front of the field and after only a little more than 30 minutes (23 laps) of racing Plumb took the lead in the No. 45. Plumb maintained the lead for 10 laps until the second pit stop of the race.


By the last ten laps of the race all three Fall-Line Motorsports cars were running in the top four. A little friendly competition ensued on the very last lap of the 58 lap race with Espenlaub passing Sellers for second place just feet before the line.


With three cars finishing in the top four positions Fall-Line Motorsports scored maximum points toward the manufacturer championship with BMW. Charles Espenlaub also scored the fastest lap during the race.


Fall-Line Motorsports and Alcon have worked extensively for several years to develop the BMW M3 brake system utilizing CAR76 series billet calipers and DIV2175 series front and rear rotors.


Alcon also saw a 1-2 finish In the Sport Touring class with the No. 31 i-Moto Mazda Speed 3 driven by Pieree Kleinubing and Jayson Clunie beating out the No. 10 Kinetic/Kia Racing Kia Forte Koup and drivers Andy Lally and Nic Jonsson by .021 seconds.
